Prey: A Sci-Fi First-Person Shooter
Prey (2017), developed by Arkane Studios Austin and published by Bethesda Softworks, is a single-player sci-fi first-person shooter game available on the PlayStation 4 platform. It is a reboot of the 2006 game of the same name developed by Human Head Studios. However, there is no relation between the stories and universes of the two games.
The game is set in an alternate reality near future where you find yourself stranded on the Talos I space station, invaded by hostile aliens known as the Typhon. To survive, you must explore Talos I to gather weapons and resources to fight off the invaders. Prey's gameplay loop takes inspiration from System Shock and Bioshock, where you use neural modification devices to learn skills and psychic abilities to progress in the game.
